\n<\/b><\/strong>Both the Calendar and the Bulletin are created as PDF files. We use a WordPress plugin called EmbedPres to display PDF files on our website. The following steps can be used to update the Calendar or the Bulletin.\n

Preliminaries:<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Register and obtain permission<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0to modify the website.\u00a0 See the Register section in the\u00a0Website Support<\/a>\u00a0page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Here are the steps to update an existing PDF on our website:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Log into the website\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>using the login link:\u00a0https:\/\/backups.ebenezerwelcome.com\/2025-12-28\/wp-login.php<\/u><\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Enter the Dashboard<\/b> (if you are not already there) by clicking on the WordPress icon in the upper left corner. (Note: the dashboard will have several maintenance options running down the left hand side of the screen)<\/li>\n
    3. Add the PDF file to your media library and copy the link to it. <\/b>\n
        \n
      1. Mouse over the “Media”<\/b> menu option on the left hand side of the screen<\/li>\n
      2. Slide the mouse over and click on the “Add New Media File”<\/b> menu item.<\/li>\n
      3. Click on the “Select File”<\/b> in the middle of the screen. Navigate to the New PDF and click on it. <\/li>\n
      4. Click on the “Copy URL to clipboard”<\/b> button near the bottom of the screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      5. Create a “Shortcode” in “EmbedPress” <\/b>and copy the “Shortcode” to the “clipboard”.\n

        1. Click on the “EmbedPress”<\/b> menu item on the left hand side of the screen.<\/li>\n
        2. Click on the “[\/] Shortcode”<\/b> button item directly under the highlighted “General” Button.<\/li>\n
        3. Click in the text box<\/b> to the left of the “Generate”<\/b> button and press Control+V<\/b> to paste the saved URL in the text box. Then click on the “Generate”<\/b> button.<\/li>\n
        4. Finally click on the “Copy Link”<\/b> to save the Shortcode in the clipboard.<\/li>\n
        5. Navigate to the Sermons Page.<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Click on the “Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church<\/b><\/strong>” link in the upper left corner of the page until you see the website “Home<\/b><\/strong>” page. \u00a0Then navigate to the Web Page containing the PDF.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        6. Open Beaver Builder<\/b><\/strong>. \u00a0Click on\u00a0Beaver Builde<\/b><\/strong>r near the center of the top bar to open the Beaver Builder page editor.<\/li>\n
        7. Replace the old short code with the new one. <\/b>Click on the PDF file in the Page. A text dialog box should pop up. Click on the text in dialog box<\/b>. Press Control+a<\/b> to select all. Then Press Control+v <\/b>to paste the new shortcode into the dialog box and press the “Save” button<\/b> on the bottom right corner of the text dialog box to save the new code.<\/li>\n
        8. Publish your changes<\/b><\/strong>. \u00a0Click on the\u00a0Done\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>button in the upper right hand corner. \u00a0If you are happy with the changes click\u00a0Publish<\/b><\/strong>. \u00a0If you would like to make more changes hit\u00a0Cancel<\/b><\/strong>. \u00a0\u00a0You can also save it as a draft and work more on it later. \u00a0Or if it is really messed up, you can\u00a0Discard<\/b><\/strong> it.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
